Do You Care Enough?

If you care enough about getting rid of Cellulite, you’ll make some radical changes in your personal life.  If you don’t care enough about your Cellulite, you won’t change ENOUGH and neither will your Cellulite problem!

Please take a moment and reread that statement.  I want so much to help you conquer your Cellulite; and yet there’s no way this will happen unless you can accept the concept that is stated above.  You must accept that statement intellectually and psychologically.

You must either accept this statement or accept your Cellulite.  Every time you see or touch those parts of your body afflicted with Cellulite you must realize that you’re either allowing it to remain or you’re getting rid of it.

Most of you are familiar with weight loss programs such as Weight Watchers, LA Weight Loss and Jenny Craig.  In fact, you probably know of someone who tried all kinds of diets, worried and complained about their weight problem, kept buying bigger clothes, may have been asked the humiliating question, “are you pregnant”, or looked like her husband’s mother instead of his lover and wife.  But, she still couldn’t get herself together enough to lose weight. Cellulite Analysis and Diagnosis

Cellulite is easily detected because of its unusually distinct characteristics. The most frequently used descriptive phrase when describing soft cellulite is that the skin in the afflicted area resembles either the rippled texture of an orange peel or the lumpy texture of cottage cheese.  Certainly, neither of these conditions are attractive nor are they normal.

Analysis and Diagnosis

Cellulite Pinch TestIf you suspect that you have cellulite, you can diagnose it yourself; easily and quickly.  Go to a well-lighted area, preferably with a large mirror.  Using the thumb and forefinger of either one or both hands, press or squeeze the flesh in one or more of the susceptible areas of your body.  The pressure you apply to this area may cause a slightly painful sensation; a feeling not present in non-cellulite areas.

Another revealing cellulite test that you can use is to stand on your tiptoes in front of a mirror and look at the entire front thigh area.  If you have a solid cellulite problem, your legs may appear firm and trim.  A closer inspection reveals a dimpled, unsmooth quality beneath the surface.  When heavy pressure is applied to this area with the pads of the fingers or your palms you may feel hard, fatty deposits just below the surface of the skin. Imperfection is Beauty

In Exercise and Cellulite we defined cellulite as nothing more than a collection of fat, water and wastes that concentrate in certain parts of a person’s body.

Medical doctors, scientists, and other professionals state that, “… fat underneath the skin is deposited in fat cells… These fat cells are interspersed with non-fat, connective tissue cells.  All the cells in the fatty tissue are surrounded by a matrix composed principally of collagen protein.”  On and On and On…

Big deal.  That textbookish-sounding definition has no impact at all for people who aren’t afflicted with the condition.  If you’re one of the 10% of men or one of the 80-90% of women in the western world who discovers that you’ve got cellulite, the term and definition take on a very real meaning.  Continue reading

Exercise and Cellulite

Cellulite220x220Cellulite is a collection of fat, water and waste that concentrates in certain parts of a person’s body causing lumps, bulges or ripples.  In women, cellulite commonly appears around the hips, thighs and backside.  In men, cellulite appears most often around the waist and abdomen.

There are a lot of reasons why cellulite is said to appear on your body.  Hormonal reasons, poor diet and lifestyle choices, age and genetic predisposition just to name a few.  Reducing body fat through a healthy diet and consistent exercise are surefire ways to help get your cellulite condition under control.

Cellulite is a very special kind of affliction that isolates itself in certain spots, more so, in a woman’s body.  It is something you can see and touch.  And, its presence has many women feeling unattractive and depressed about the way they look. Continue reading
