Imperfection is Beauty

In Exercise and Cellulite we defined cellulite as nothing more than a collection of fat, water and wastes that concentrate in certain parts of a person’s body.

Medical doctors, scientists, and other professionals state that, “… fat underneath the skin is deposited in fat cells… These fat cells are interspersed with non-fat, connective tissue cells.  All the cells in the fatty tissue are surrounded by a matrix composed principally of collagen protein.”  On and On and On…

Big deal.  That textbookish-sounding definition has no impact at all for people who aren’t afflicted with the condition.  If you’re one of the 10% of men or one of the 80-90% of women in the western world who discovers that you’ve got cellulite, the term and definition take on a very real meaning.

Natural, Beautiful Woman

"A woman who is incredibly human... worthy of being called beautiful."

“A woman who is incredibly human… worthy of being called beautiful.”

Ladies, imperfection is beauty!  You’re a natural, beautiful woman so don’t get depressed by this problem.  And, don’t feel as though you do not fit the image you have of yourself!

I’m sure a lot of you have tried to ignore the cellulite condition and pretend that you don’t have it. But, each time you see yourself in the mirror, you would be confronted with the reality again.  Maybe you feel like swimsuits and shorts are not going to look great on you anymore.  Does Summer feel like it would be a little less free and fun for you this year?

I can’t pretend to know what you’re going through.  I don’t know your fears, pains and all that goes into it.  But, I do know women spend a lot of time on their physical appearance.  I’ve read about their concerns of men becoming aware of their cellulite and rejecting them physically or sexually because of it.  These fears, revolving around your physical attractiveness, are most important for you to alleviate.  Let them help you gain a perspective about cellulite and how it could affect you personally.

Now, I can’t speak for all men.  But, I believe most find a “natural” woman attractive who is assertive and very confident with herself.  If you’re a man reading this post, please kiss your woman’s areas of concern and show her how much you appreciate her entire body.  As far as aging goes, a mature woman who cares for herself, dresses well, and keeps herself in great condition while aging is immensely attractive.

Let’s face it, cellulite is not the worst thing that is ever going to happen to any one of us.  Readjustment to life after a divorce or the death of a spouse; the trials of being a good parent; or the impact of a severe accident or illness are all more profound events that we are going to have to face at some time in our lives.

Hopefully this realization is good for you.  Maybe it will help you accept that you have cellulite, stretch marks or any other imperfection.  Maybe you’re thinking, I could, but I want to try and get rid of it if possible.

Anti Cellulite Treatment

Just know that cellulite is never cured, only managed with a careful selection of treatment.  You should also understand that cellulite is not related to overweight body mass; it can affect just about anybody both heavy and thin.  Because of this fact, weight loss and cellulite management are two separate issues, making this skin condition the last to be affected by exercise and diet.

You could get liposuction, but that should be your last port of call for shifting areas of stubborn fat deposits.  And, it may not even remove that cottage cheese-like cellulite (sorry for that).  In fact, it’s a traumatic procedure that could impair your circulatory and lymphatic system, and has left many women with fewer inches but more lumps and bumps than before.

There’s another product on the market catching a lot of people’s attention and could be the perfect alternative to surgery. It’s a home body wrap product that uses a botanically based cream formula that helps to deeply hydrate and nourish the skin, while reducing the appearance of cellulite and redefining the appearance of your body’s contours.  Good reduction in cellulite is seen soon after 4 or more treatments.

While the body wrap DOES provide early visible and measurable change, it is NOT a single approach solution.  It is meant to be an accessory to an overall shift to a healthier lifestyle.  Results are long-lasting provided you keep up a healthy exercise and eating plan, which I will discuss in future posts.

In conclusion, cellulite treatment requires a continued healthy diet, exercise, and proven products to help with the beautiful smoothing and tightening effect on the outer layer of your skin — ultimately, diminishing the appearance of cellulite.  If you are interested in learning more about the body wrap, just click here!

To your health,

  1. I’m impressed, I have to admit. Seldom do I come across a blog that’s equally educative and interesting, and
without a doubt, you’ve hit the nail on the head. The problem is something that not enough folks are speaking
intelligently about. Now i’m very happy I came across this during my hunt for something regarding this.
